Thank You

Hey Friends,

Look who turns 10 today! My sophomore album “Paradise” CDs arrived March 5, 2013 (just weeks before my 40th birthday) and the album was added to Spotify, Apple Music, and iTunes. There are many memories behind writing and recording these songs and it has been privilege to share them with you. Which song on “Paradise” is your favorite?

My latest album, “Brave Girl”, is titled after its signature song, one I wrote to encourage myself to heal from emotional and sexual abuse in the music industry. Admitting to myself that the abuse actually took place, diving into the healing process, and experiencing various responses from friends and family, I learned that we do not know enough about abuse nor have we responded well to those who choose to confide in us with their pain and story. Now, I have shifted from performing to speaking - sharing my story and of what I’ve learned, encouragement to fellow survivors, and advice to their circle of family and friends. The response has been amazing and I’m eager to see where God takes me in all of it.

Thank you to Okotoks Evangelical Free Church in Okotoks, Alberta, and The Neighbourhood Church in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan for your invitation to speak and share about “Brave Girl”.
