Saskatchewan & Manitoba Tour Going Great
Hey! Wow, what a great week. My tour is going very well, and I'm having a blast...
I had the unique honor of performing in a chapel service at Caronport High School at Briercrest Schools (my former high school where I graduated 20 years ago in 1991). I was able to not only perform, but to also encourage the students that God has huge plans for them, to trust Him with their lives, and wait on Him and His rewards. I hosted my second CD Release Party last night at Walkinshaw Place, my parents' beautiful country inn at Boissevain, MB. My parents did an awesome job of preparing the food, setting up and creating a wonderful, relaxed atmosphere, and co-hosting it alongside me. It was great to see familiar home-town faces, to perform, and then to mingle and catch up with everyone. Thank you for your support - it was a great evening.
Today I'm looking forward to spending Thanksgiving with my parents, my sister, and her family - this will be my first Thanksgiving with them since leaving home, so I'm very grateful for this time with them.
Tomorrow, Thanksgiving Sunday, will be a very busy but very memorable day... I will be leading the Thanksgiving Service at the Boissevain Mennonite Brethren Church (the church in which I grew up), leading worship and performing special music. Tomorrow evening I'm excited to host a Thanksgiving Worship Evening and Concert at the Elm Creek Mennonite Brethren Church. Again, I'm looking forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting new friends.
I'm also excited to be revisiting Bethany College this Wed., Oct. 12th. My husband, Peter, and I both attended Bethany many moons ago. We met there, became engaged while students there, and married shortly after graduating there together. I will have the honor of performing in their chapel service, something that is very meaningful to me - I wrote my song "A Reminisce" at the age of 18, while as a first-year student at Bethany. I performed "A Reminisce" for a Fall Talent Show, and then had it performed at our wedding. I will have the opportunity to perform that song again, 20 years later, on the very piano on which I composed it. What a moment...
This tour has been wonderful, and I'm so grateful to God for giving me this opportunity to perform, share, and reminisce with my loved ones.
Please visit my Dates page for location, time, and venue details, as I would love to see you in Boissevain, Elm Creek, or at Bethany. Also watch for more Dates to come within the Calgary area.
Happy Thanksgiving. May you know God's perfect love for you, His grace, His nearness, and His provisions today.
Take care, I hope to see you soon.
