Busy Life and Working on the Music
Hey! How are you?
I’ve been very busy and enjoying life. I’m still a busy wife and mom and a friend who’s eager to reconnect with those I haven’t seen in a long while, all while learning what it means to be servant of Christ. God has taught me a lot about myself lately - mostly that it’s o.k. to be less than I think I am. Where I am weak, He is strong. What He calls me to do, I will do, and what I cannot do, He will do the rest. This, I’m sure, is going to come out in my writing at some point – I’m just not so sure how yet.
I’ve been writing with a co-worker (which I am PSYCHED about!), rehearsing my own material and other’s alike in preparation for performing, as well as writing my own material. I will be in the studio along with some great musician-friends soon to record demos, to begin new projects (and CANNOT wait!).
Thank you to those who have supported me in coming out to my shows. It has been awesome to put faces to names, and to hear your own stories. Thank you for sharing those stories with me, both the exciting and painful stories, allowing me to pray with and for you in your times of need. Thank you for your encouragement and kind words – I appreciate those words very much.
I will be performing at The House Coffee Sanctuary this Friday, and cannot wait to return. Included in my set lists are my own songs, mixed with those songs that I’ve come to love and enjoy – songs by Kutless, Josh Wilson, Decemberadio, ... also Keith Urban, REO Speedwagon, and others. If you find yourself in downtown Calgary this Friday, I’d love to see you there.
I will also be performing in South Calgary Community Church this Sunday – What does it mean to persevere in love? Love is a choice... “Father, my spirit is broken; My heart’s been torn in two; But You’ve been there before; And You’ll open the door; For the healing of my soul; I know You will make me whole...”
Also join me at Ambrose University next Thurs., Nov. 24th, as I lead the students and staff in worship. Come to worship with us, and to hear a few of my own songs and what they mean to me.
All info regarding The House, South Calgary Community Church, and Ambrose University can be found on my Dates page – make plans to join us – I’d love to see you!
“Each time he (God) said, ’My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.’ So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.” (2 Corinthians 12:9) Wherever you are, keep going. Allow God to work through you today – you won’t regret it.
Take care.
