Surrender

Hey! How have you been? It’s been a long time! My summer has been a busy and very memorable one, and I’m looking forward to seeing what Fall brings.

“Surrender” has been my theme this summer - Surrendering my family, health, friends, work, and personal life to God and his purpose. While I don’t comprehend why things happen, I pray to ask God for answers, but also for direction, patience, trust, and faith as I wait. Thank you Highland Mennonite Brethren Church, Valleyview Presbyterian Church, and The House Coffee Sanctuary for your invites and support over this past summer. I’ve enjoyed reconnecting with you and look forward to more visits!

I have also been busy writing with my producer and good buddy, Daron. Daron is ridiculously talented, and brings a lot to the table in terms of writing, critiquing, and producing. He’s also become an awesome friend, giving me support and encouragement, as well as a well-deserved and honest kick-in-the-pants once in a while. Thank you, Daron! I will be sharing and performing on Sunday, Sept. 2nd, at South Calgary Community Church. Join us for what promises to be a warm welcome and great morning of worship! The House Coffee Sanctuary in Calgary has found a special place in my heart, and I’m excited to return there on Sept. 8th! Join us for a relaxed evening of coffees, bevys, awesome food, and live music. I will be performing, as usual, my favorite pop songs from the 80’s, 90’s, and today, as well as a mix of my own songs and my favorite “Contemporary Christian” songs. It’s always a fun night at The House – plan to join us! Also join friends and I at the 2nd Annual Cedarbrae Celebration at South Calgary Community Church on Saturday, September 15th. Organized for the church family and the community, this promises to be a day of fun for families and friends of all age, with games, activities, food, and music! I’m excited to be asked to return to perform, and look forward to reconnecting with the church as well as the community! More details will be available in the next couple of weeks – stay tuned!
