Hey! Happy Valentine’s Day! How were you able to celebrate today? With your friends? With your love? While we may have our own definitions of love, God’s love is pure. Agape - God’s love for man. There is no other greater love.
“When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us... Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” (from Romans 5). Christ came to us, willingly, knowing already who we were, knowing how we’d rebel, knowing he’d be rejected,... And still, he came. THAT is love.
I’m excited to be leading worship and performing this Sunday, February 19th, at Valleyview Presbyterian Church in Calgary. Join us for what promises to be truly a worship service... “Blessed be your name - In the land that is plentiful, Where streams of abundance flow; When I’m found in the desert place, Though I walk in the wilderness; When the sun’s shining down on me, When the world’s all as it should be...” (Blessed Be Your Name”, by Matt Redman), “Purify my heart, Let me be as gold and precious silver; Purify my heart, Let me be as gold, pure gold; Refiner’s fire, My heart’s one desire; Is to be holy, Set apart for You, Lord; I choose to be holy, set apart for You, my Master; Ready to do Your will.” (“Refiner’s Fire”, by Brian Doerksen).
Then, join us at The House Coffee Sanctuary in Calgary on Saturday, March 17th, for another great night of music. Come with your friends, relax with a great cup of their famous coffees, treat yourself to a pastry, and enjoy an evening of music.
For more info on both events, please refer to my Dates page. I look forward to seeing you soon!
Keep going. Whatever your struggle, fear, doubt, or hesitation, God is there. Always.
